Gurinder delivered a speech on 9th February 2017 at The Power of Film & Moving Image Symposium, an international event that seeks to explore the growing influence of film in the modern world, held at The Royal Institution in London.
The symposium is a one day red carpet event spotlighting some of the UK’s leading thinkers, activists and writers reflecting on the impact of feature films, documentaries, advertising, GoPro footage, Facebook Live, and other media on public thinking, culture and politics.
Gurinder spoke of the impact of race and religion in film and her journey to the release of her latest feature, Viceroy’s House.
